This custom Peter Martin build takes the sparkle and swagger of the classic offset and reinterprets it through a modern, handcrafted approach. Finished in Ocean Burst by Primo components, the body features familiar offset contours with a balanced weight and a comfortable, forearm-friendly shape that sits naturally against the player.
The instrument is built around a pair of P90s in the Jazzmaster form, wound by Green Pickups in Manchester. They deliver thick mids, articulate attack, open note separation and a responsive dynamic range, equally suited to chiming clean work and gritty, controlled drive. Schaller machine heads and a Strat-style bridge prioritise tuning stability and precise intonation, so the guitar holds its character across a broad tonal palette.
The neck is shaped for confident playability: a refined profile, smooth fretwork, and a finish that feels unobtrusive in the hand. Combined with Peter Martin’s attention to wood selection and resonance, the result is an instrument that feels immediate, lively, and dependable.
This is a classic silhouette elevated through small-batch craftsmanship: familiar in form, but executed with the focus and sensitivity of a dedicated luthier.
