The Workshop
Setup
A setup addresses the core playability of your instrument by calibrating neck relief, action, intonation, nut height, fret condition, and hardware function. Even a well-built guitar drifts over time due to humidity, aging components, or changes in playing style. A precise setup restores balance, consistency, and tone. With a multi-specialist luthier team, we diagnose subtle structural and acoustic interactions and treat each instrument as a unique project, ensuring it performs exactly as it should.
Repair
Structural and mechanical issues like worn frets, loose or lifting bridges, cracked tops or backs, faulty electronics, damaged nuts or saddles all require controlled intervention to preserve integrity and tone. Effective repair work depends on understanding how stresses move through the instrument, not just patching the symptom. Our collaborative workshop pools the expertise of multiple luthiers for complex cases, enabling us to stabilise damage, correct underlying causes, and return the instrument to reliable, long-term functionality.
Restore
Restoration is reserved for instruments that are severely compromised or historically significant. This may involve rebuilding fractured bodies, re-setting necks, reconstructing missing components, or sympathetically conserving original finishes and hardware. The objective is to recover both structural strength and authentic character while respecting provenance. Our collective approach allows each stage of assessment, conservation, reconstruction, and final voicing to be handled by specialists, allowing us to deal with even the most demanding projects.
