A handmade 60's relic style electric from Surrey-based luthier Mike Hobbs, built to capture the feel and character of a 1962 model. Aged Butterscotch nitrocellulose finish with a relic treatment throughout.
Overview
Built by Mike Hobbs, this guitar is rooted in a straightforward question: why have these designs lasted? The answer is in the materials and the construction. Two-piece alder body, maple neck, Monty's hand-wound pickups and a Monty's wiring loom. Nothing here is there by accident, and nothing is chasing a trend.

Tone and Feel
Alder gives the guitar a balanced, even response with good note definition across the whole register. The Monty's 53 hand-wound pickups are among the more faithful vintage reproductions available, with the snap and clarity that the T-style bridge position is built around and a neck pickup that sits warm without becoming muddy. The D profile neck is comfortable for extended playing and suits the vintage character of the instrument. Plugged in, this delivers the 60s playability the design was always intended for.
