2000 Duesenberg Starplayer TV

This Starplayer TV combines semi-hollow construction, distinctive Duesenberg styling and a versatile pickup configuration. Dating from 2000, this example also has an interesting history, having been played by the guitarist of The Thrills on the Other Stage at Glastonbury in 2003. (Video in gallery)

Sound

A Domino P90 pickup at the neck and a GrandVintage humbucker at the bridge provide a broad range of tones, from warm, rounded sounds to a brighter, more cutting bridge voice. The semi-hollow body adds resonance and openness, whilst the Duesenberg Diamond Deluxe tremolo provides expressive vibrato.

Feel

This example plays exceptionally well, with a comfortable feel across the neck. The semi-hollow construction gives it a resonant response, whilst the pickup combination makes it well suited to a range of playing styles.

Build

Finished in vintage cream with a gold sparkle pickguard, the Starplayer TV has the distinctive single-cutaway body, F-hole and Duesenberg hardware that define the model. This guitar is in excellent condition and comes supplied with a Gibson hard case. No original paperwork is included.
