Vyse Amps began under the craftsmanship of David Vyse, whose hand-wired valve amplifiers earned a reputation for tonal clarity, reliability and traditional build quality. Today, the workshop is led by Simon Bartlett, who continues the same approach to careful construction and circuit integrity while refining designs for modern players.

Each amplifier is assembled by hand using turret-board layouts and high-grade components, ensuring structural robustness and consistent performance. Simon maintains the brand’s emphasis on dynamic, touch-sensitive response — amplifiers that react to the player rather than masking nuance. The voicing reflects classic influences but is shaped with a contemporary sense of headroom, articulation and practicality for both stage and studio use.
