Iford Cider
About the Cidery
Iford Cider is a small-batch cidery based at Iford Mill, Bradford-on-Avon, just outside Bath — home to a summer taproom and sourdough pizza kitchen on the banks of the River Frome. Their approach is unapologetically simple: take real, fresh-pressed apples, let wild fermentation do the work, and stay well away from concentrate, added sugar and anything else that turns cider into apple-flavoured seltzer.
Apples are sourced from growers across Somerset, along with surplus fruit rescued from the eastern side of the country that would otherwise go to waste — an approach that keeps the cider genuinely seasonal and cuts down on unnecessary processing. The result is a range that runs from crisp session ciders to a dry, fresh-juice style, all naturally fermented and packaged with sustainability in mind.
The taproom itself has become a local favourite in its own right, with picnic-style seating in the mill grounds and a laid-back, honest character that runs through everything the cidery makes.
Why We Stock Iford
Iford's whole approach — real apples, wild fermentation, no shortcuts — sits perfectly alongside the guitars and beer already on our shelves, and it means we can offer something genuinely local, made a short drive from Bath. It's an easy, characterful cider for anyone who wants proper fresh-juice flavour rather than the usual mass-produced stuff.
